Kroger Bargaining Runs Long
Thursday, October 9, 2008
Kroger Bargaining on the 16th started at 10:00 a.m. and completed at 9:30 p.m. Of the 103 contractual differences between the Non-Metro contract and the master retail food and meat agreements only 8 or 9 remain unresolved.
Bargaining took a negative turn when we got into health care and wage issues, the company was specifically uncooperative with the idea of equalizing pay in your contract with that of the master agreements.
We are scheduled to meet at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, October 17th. The fact-phone will be updated after that negotiations.
