Randy Quickel
New Local 1059 President

UFCW Local 1059 is proud to announce that effective August 12, 2010 a new team has been appointed to lead UFCW Local 1059 into the future. That team is led by former Union Representative and Local 1059 Service Director Randy Quickel and Union Representative Mark Fluharty as Secretary-Treasurer. Former Secretary-Treasurer Greg Behnke is now Executive Assistant to the President.

This new direction has been planned and prepared for over the last 4 years as former President Becky Berroyer contemplated her retirement. "I am proud of my 20 years serving the members of UFCW Local 1059," said Berroyer, "and I know that Randy and Mark are ready and committed to leading this Local into the future."

President Quickel worked for Kroger from 1979 until 1994 when he came on staff with Local 1059. In 2006 he became Service Director. Mark Fluharty worked as a Journeyman Meat Cutter with The Meijer Company from 1988 until coming on as Local 1059 staff in 1991.
